Royal Ascot Tables

Introduction

In 2005, Her Majesty’s Representative, The Duke of Devonshire, and HRH The Prince of Wales decided to commission a set of three tables, produced by reputable English craftsmen, to be presented to The Queen, for use in the new Royal Box Foyer, post-redevelopment.

The Brief

Design three different design options for the elliptical floral display table and three options for the side table.

The designs must have a 'WOW' factor. The furniture must provide a talking point for guests within the Royal Box Foyer. Design must bind the 'old' and the 'new'. The design is not to be a reproduction piece; it is to be contemporary/modern. The designs must be in an 'English' style. The designs should be simple, classic and contemporary.

The concept work should include 3 very different designs, one of which could be themed.
